Ft. Sill Cover Ups Are TRUE!

The blog about the Ft. Sill cover ups of abuse of our volunteer soldiers is very true. I have family in this PTRP housing unit at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma also and I am told about all kind of mis-doings in this unit. It is very TRUE! My family member joined the military in August of last year and was shipped out to this facility and was also injured during training. It was 2 months before he was seen by a physician and was confirmed to have a "real" knee injury that resulted in surgery in November. He has been housed in the unit since last year and has seen many incidents that "he didn't see". He was one of the soldier removing the heavy locker out of the unit and on his hands and knees (remember the recent surgery) not his butt scrapping the floor so it could be waxed before family day February 3rd. I have been told about things that I witnessed inmates do to each other in a maximum security facility. Things that SHOULD NOT be happening to OUR soldiers by their superiors. I have also been informed that certain officers of rank are not happy about this being published on the web and that, they are also trying to have it removed from the net. ( no facts to back that up, just rumored). These conditions MUST be addressed and rectified.

I am certain I know who these soldiers are that are spoke of in the article, "Cover up of Abuse Begins at Fort Sill, Oklahoma". I have seen them and spoken to them. I have seen the conditions in which is spoken of. I have seen and heard the disrespect of ranked officers to privates. I have watched the cockiness of ranked officers towards lesser rank personnel. These ranked officers are there to teach, train and prepare these young men for battle. To make fine, tough soldiers out of them. To kick a soldiers feet out from under him while he is recovering from knee surgery in not with the P&P (Policy & Procedures). To have men that have just had shoulder surgery doing chin ups and push-ups and punish them when they can't, is not P&P.

There are many more stories I could enlighten you with also that "have not been seen" or "heard". Would it do any good? Not until enough talk and information is put out for the American people know about and to realize what is truly happening in America to our young men, that any

Thank you so much for speaking out about the abuse at Fort Sill's PTRP. If only more of the family members of these young men would do so, it could be stopped.

Thank you for your response also. If all of the families of the young men in this unit would speak up for these soldiers then maybe something would change for the better. Maybe we should also notify 60 minutes, 48 hours or 20/20 and let them do some investigating for us. If soldier over seas can be court marshaled for these type of acts on hostages trying to harm US, then why can't they help these men in the PRTP while they are recovering in order to move on with their VOLUNTEERED service to OUR country?

If you would email me at ptrosss(at symbol)gmail.com, I would be glad to talk about coordinating our efforts to help this situation. I'll be posting more about what I've done so far in the next day or two, but meanwhile it could be very useful to compare notes. Fyi, I've contacted several news organizations, but because these boys aren't allowed to make public statements, there's been no interest. Other avenues are being pursued as well.

I do thank you for the making of this page it has really got the attention of the Soldiers in PTRP.
We would all love to tell you what "else" gose on here, but our only means to talk is a payphone out side our bay. We are unable to write the statements need for yale to help us and i hate it. WE had an inspector general come and talk to us about this page on thursday the 16th. people were still unable to tell what really happens, but we did right a sworn statment on some of the events here. I have started my own blogspot at Onlyvolunteers3.blogspot.com and will update when able to.

Hey, I just wanted to say that, I don't know how far you guys have made it with helping out PTRP units. I know your guys must be out by now. But, I wanted to say that, even though the men in Ft. Sill at the current time can't talk about what's going on, anyone who's been discharged can. And, even though Ft. Sill's might be the worst, all of them are bad. If you put out a bulletin like on myspace or something, you could find a lot of people from various PTRP's that would get together and talk about what they went through.
